If you know Austin, Texas then you know 6th Street, and that is where this love story begins! Brittany and Marc met at Cheers Shot Bar 6 years ago on Brittany’s 21st birthday. How many people can say that!? From the beginning, Brittany and Marc’s love was full of excitement. Now on their wedding day, they were ready to commit to carrying that thrill with them for the rest of their lives! We’re going to go into detail about this gorgeous black and white wedding but just know at the core of it all is love, happiness, and excitement for these two. Especially from the friends who were there on the very night they met!
Brittany and Marc worked with the talented planners at Simply XO Events who helped everyone stay on track. Everything was executed to perfection! When we started chatting with our couple, they told us they envisioned a day that was glamorous and romantic but also incorporated natural, organic floral designs. Their color palette was white, black, and champagne and we are amazed at the way it all came together! Brittany and Marc’s modern black and white wedding dreams were coming to life right before our very eyes and we couldn’t wait to show them.

Modern, Elegant Ceremony Design
We arrived at The Preserve at Canyon Lake to set up and immediately understood why Brittany and Marc selected this space as their wedding venue. This venue is elegant luxury at its finest, featuring stunning natural elements like a romantic path around the lake as well as light flooded floor-to-ceiling windows in the ceremony space. We always admire the initial space we’re in and designs of the day but of course the floral design for this wedding day was the most fun for us, it was different and unique! We are known for our boho-airy vibes but for Brittany and Marc we leaned into the power of full fluffy flowers! This wedding felt natural, classic and timeless. Modern pillars sat at the peak of the venues dreamy windows and we loaded the flowers on top to create this elegant Bridgerton-esque vibe. Let me tell you — it was gorgeeouuusss.
Brittany and Marc’s wedding ceremony was filled with happy tears and beaming smiles. But, we were a little more obsessed with the sweet moment they shared before their ceremony: their “first touch.” The happy tears, the anticipation… It was all so beautiful! Brittany and Marc were incredibly intentional with the details they incorporated into their wedding day, but the one that absolutely stole our hearts was their adorable corgi dressed up in a doggy suit and tie. Talk about the PERFECT ring bearer!

Black and White Reception Details
For the reception, Brittany and Marc had an entrance that was sure to turn heads. Guests looked on lovingly as these two floated down the venue’s grand stairwell and into the reception space. Speaking of the stairwell, it was home to one of our favorite floral installations of all time! Brittany had an idea for the stairs to be filled with delicate flowers that made it feel as though they were walking on a cloud. So, of course we made that happen! We dressed the steps with airy baby’s breath and neutral flowers; it felt magical. In the reception hall were a mix of round and rectangle guest tables. Each table was dressed up with chic white linens and delicately decorated with black napkins and chargers, tying in perfectly with their black and white wedding color scheme. One of our favorite touches was the custom neon sign that read “The Madrigals”. It was a preview to the grand marquee letters that also spelled out their last name on the dance floor.
Brittany and Marc are seriously the life of the party. When you meet at a bar on one of your 21st birthdays how can you not be a fun couple?! To end the night in style, Brittany changed into an adorable short reception dress and Marc sported a sparkling suit jacket. Their sparkler send-off led them to a vintage car that rode off to start their first night as Mr. & Mrs. We can’t think of a better way for them to have ended their modern and elegant black and white wedding day!
