I think it’s time we travel back in time to 2018 where we met Emilie and Connor, two absolute iconic individuals! Emilie and Connor are seriously so cool. They have a natural eye for creativity (especially Emilie), and that eye for design was reflected through their wedding day details. We got to know our bride and groom and learned that Emilie was ready to dive into the design process and work with us – she had so many cool ideas and details to incorporate for their wedding at Union Pine! This made our job SO much more fun. Whenever our clients want to work hand-in-hand we welcome them with open arms. It gives us the opportunity to develop a great relationship and build an even stronger trust, plus it leads to some wonderful memories for us and the client!

The Venue
Tucked away on a rainy day Emilie and Connor’s design dreams were brought to life for their wedding at Union Pine. This venue is essentially a blank slate and as designers, we LOVED the fact that it gave us the ability to build their floral design from the ground up. With a little bit of love and hard work, our team brought Emilie and Connor’s vision to fruition. Union Pine’s blank slate encourages clients to add their own touch, however the venue has an overall industrial vibe. It was the perfect combination for Emilie and Connor! Their florals were on the lighter side but the industrial touches of the venue rang true to their overall style. And speaking of style… Emilie and Connor have it!

For starters, Emilie looked like an absolute princess. Her platinum hair matching with her slim bright white gown felt very ethereal and fun. I adored the delicate lace detailing on the sleeves softening her look that was amplified by a bold dark lip – it was ICONIC! Her style is sooo classic and suits her perfectly. Connor looked equally as cool in a sleek black suit and skinny black tie.
Classic-yet-bold Design
The charming and unique ceremony was a design challenge but such a fun one! Emilie and Connor wanted their wedding flowers to feel unique and be something their guests weren’t expecting. Emilie was obsessed with organic and asymmetric design so she was totally a trendsetter to the styles that are now everywhere!! Figuring out how to create their ceremony arch was a challenge but I think we nailed it! Mimicking the look of a vine growing down the side of a building, we crafted their ceremony arch from the ceiling with lush greenery and pops of fluffy flowers. They wanted to keep their wedding at Union Pine on the neutral side so we worked with a lot of white, cream, and blush flowers. But, if you can’t tell already Emilie and Connor knew their design still had to be unique. So, we brought in the fun through fresh fruit. Yup, you read that right! They asked us to incorporate fruit into their centerpieces – obsessseddddd. It was so cute!

As seen through their ceremony design it was clear that Emilie was a huge fan of unique and non-traditional florals. So, for her bouquet, we really had some fun. One dreamy, whimsical, dramatic bridal bouquet coming up!! It was a masterpiece and so much fun to create, plus I think it’s safe to say she LOVED it!! Traveling back in time to weddings like Emilie and Connor’s reminds us just how incredible our job is. Seeing the way styles and designs change and shape over the years is so cool.
If you’re ready to start designing your wedding day go ahead and send us a message! We would absolutely love to take your dreams and run with them.
