Colorful Wedding at Greenhouse at Driftwood

Not to brag, buuuuttt Paree 100% set the trend for dreamy floral wedding gowns… and while we all drooled over the Vogue coverage of Sofia Bush’s Tulsa wedding (featuring her floral printed gown that went viral) we can’t help but feel bias towards our amazing Paree and her love, Taylor. Their whimsical colorful wedding day in Austin was absolutely stunning from top to bottom, starting with an iconic floral print wedding gown.

Paree’s Show-Stopping Floral Print Wedding Gown

We began talking with Paree early on in their wedding planning process. She loved the idea of a garden wedding and shared with us how she wanted the style and color scheme of their day to surround the details of her gown. Paree is a visionary, picturing garden-inspired blooms delicately framing their ceremony site in beautiful pastel colors and an epic wedding day at the Greenhouse at Driftwood. We were so ready, and once we saw that dress IRL it was game OVER. Paree officially stole our hearts with her style and we knew that gown was about to take over the wedding world – spoiler, it has!

Everything about the details of Paree and Taylor’s colorful wedding day was flawless. Their relationship is delicate and sweet, so to reflect this throughout their wedding they had their favorite people by their sides each wearing unique dresses and suits that spoke to who they all are as individuals. Paree and her bridesmaids looked effortlessly beautiful in flowing colorful gowns of various styles and materials, while the men looked dashing in shades of gray. We love the way everyone kept to a neutral/pastel color scheme. Cohesive color schemes that carry from wedding attire to floral design always feel so so good and we highly recommend jotting that down into your wedding planning notes as a must-do!

Colorful Wedding Day Details

The magic of Paree and Taylor’s colorful wedding day details begins the moment you step on-site at Greenhouse at Driftwood. We seriously can’t get enough of this venue! It is so dreamy and magical with a whimsical feel. Their iconic greenhouse is full of some amazing plants and as florists, we had the best time wandering around soaking in all the green goodness! Designing around a space as stunning as this can be intimidating, but Paree and Taylor were confident in their vision. We brought together a combination of fluffy florals and trendy baby’s breath to decorate the venue.

Ceremony & Reception Design

Paree and Taylor wanted their ceremony space to be designed in a way that allowed the beauty of the greenhouse to shine through, but upon closer look the set up was incredibly detailed and intricate. Two floral pillars of slightly different heights were created for their ceremony space. As we loaded up the baby’s breath at the base we knew this design was going to be epic! As we popped in garden roses, mums, a few peonies, carnations, and more playful flowers the space really came to life. At the back of the ceremony aisle, we designed two aisle markers that matched the grand floral pillars and were a sweet little “welcome” to the ceremony space.

Underneath the canvas canopy, Paree and Taylor’s reception came to life. We wove fresh greenery into the cascading string lights and it felt like magic. We always love repurposing ceremony floral designs into another portion of the event, and today our couple wanted their ceremony design to frame their sweetheart table. I felt like a beautiful throne of floral! We had incorporated a few sweet floral pops onto the guest tables to bring in touches of the floral design throughout the entire day, but kept the majority of the reception decor simple in order to allow guests to fully engage in conversation and toast to the newlyweds.

While the reception carried on, Paree and Taylor snuck away for a moment to get some STUNNING golden hour shots. Y’all… we had to give these portraits a moment of their own because the way Paree’s bouquet was photographed in that golden light was dreeeaaammyy!! Her bouquet was a perfect creation of vibrant and pastel flowers to match their ceremony and reception design. Something we loved so much is that Paree stuck to only flowers for her bouquet. We love incorporating greenery into bouquets to add depth and movement, but Paree challenged us and we LOVE the way it turned out.

Paree and Taylor, we are so obsessed with you and can’t wait to see where life and your love story take you! We will always remember this gorgeous, colorful wedding day (and not only because it was the first HOT day in Austin of the year) but because of how incredible everyone involved was every step of the way.

Working on a wedding can be stressful, and uncomfortable weather can add to that stress! But, lucky for us we had an amazing couple to create this day for and some wonderful vendors to work alongside. As wedding florists, we always show the glamorous side of our jobs but it can be tough! We are always so so thankful that Austin is filled with some incredible and talented wedding vendors and gorgeous venues.
