Brittany and Daniel are the definitions of elegance and class, so it is no surprise that their bougainvillea wedding was a reflection of that! Like many 2021 couples, Brittany and Daniel had to postpone their original date which meant they had the opportunity to re-plan the entire design around their new wedding date! We loved their first concept, it was very boho-chic… think pampas grass and all the neutral tones but, we REALLYYY loved their new idea. They wanted to go in a direction we have never gone before and let me tell you, we were SO excited when they told us! Brittany and Daniel were ready to make a statement, and they sure did!

They told us how they wanted their wedding to have a very vintage-glam vibe. From that moment we knew their wedding was going to be a knockout!
Brittany and Daniel were craving something new and unique, and that is definitely what they got. Let’s take a moment for the fact that almost all of their floral was fuchsia bougainvillea! That’s right, FUCHSIA! Oh, how we love using fun colors so much. There were some touches of fuchsia sweet pea and greenery here and there, but the bougainvillea was the star of the show, and it was striking!

However, with a unique flower such as bougainvillea, it was only a matter of time before we would be met with a little bit of a challenge. We soon realized that we weren’t going to be able to order the bougainvillea… slight panic! Covid brought on many floral shortages but on top of that, there was a major freeze earlier in the year. Yup, a major freeze, in TEXAS! But we didn’t let it get to us, we were ready to make this happen. So, what did we do? We called and drove around to every one of of Austin’s nurseries to find the right bougainvillea. Good Seed Floral will go the extra mile to make sure your wedding floral dreams come true! And luckily, we found the most beautiful bougainvillea for Brittany and Daniel. We just adore how well their whole vision came to life!
For their perfect day, Brittany and Daniel chose Mae’s Ridge as the venue for their bougainvillea wedding and we can’t say enough good things!
We love this venue so much and just adore how well it works with various styles and aesthetics! Perfect for almost any bride! Mae’s Ridge provided an empty canvas for us to build out their wedding day on and it came together even better than we could have imagined! Now let’s talk about the details. Brittany and Daniel didn’t want to completely hide the gorgeous view that Mae’s Ridge overlooks, so we came up with a frame concept. A gorgeous gold iron square frame acted as their altar and our team built a climbing bougainvillea bush style floral installation. It had just the slightest touch of greenery that draped over them perfectly! The brightness of the fuchsia really drew in your eye so you could focus on Brittany and Daniel as they read their vows and said “I Do!”

Brittany wore a stunning classic gown but she wanted a bouquet that would provide some contrast and reflect her fun side and unique style!
For her bridal bouquet, the bougainvillea was of course the star of the show. The way it moved allowed us to create a fun artistic shape and we added in a few nude roses to really pull the whole look together! We are still so obsessed! And the fun doesn’t stop there. Their reception space was to DIE for!!
Long community-style tables lined the open-air pavilion. They were covered with gorgeous sandy-almond colored velvet linen that tied in extremely well with the wicker reception chairs. They kept their glassware simple and chic and tied in their slight boho style with a cloth napkin that was perfectly tied around gold flatware. The neutral tones of the reception really allowed the Fuschia floral to make a statement. We lined the tables with bougainvillea and it really pulled all of the details together! At the top of the pavilion was another beautiful altar-like structure that acted as the frame to their delicious cake. Every detail of their reception was perfect, we could go on for hours about their bougainvillea wedding!

We are still just so in love with Brittany and Daniel’s bougainvillea wedding, almost as much as we loved working with them to make their wedding dream come to life! Congratulations to these two love birds, we will be thinking about their day for many months to come! Ready to book your wedding florist? Reach out!
