Reflecting on Shea and Ross’ wedding day brings back calm, warm, joyful memories. Often wedding days can feel chaotic and stressful, as if there is no time to sit for just a minute! But, Shea and Ross’ Texas wedding was seamless and very laid-back. The set up was peaceful and everyone involved was super calm – as a wedding vendor it was such a treat! Bringing Shea and Ross’ wedding day to life was bittersweet. It took place at Mercury Hall which is a gorgeous old church venue, but they have officially stopped doing weddings here. Shea and Ross’ wedding was one of the last weddings to take place at Mercury Hall and while we are sad to see it go, we are proud of how beautiful this intimate Texas wedding turned out!

Scrolling through these gorgeous images from Shea and Ross’ wedding day was so much fun. Since Shea and Ross knew exactly what their vision was it was easy to translate it across all aspects of their event design. From the ceremony to personal flowers, reception design and rentals, it all came together perfectly! Shea and Ross brought in fall hues and added a Texas flare with pops of terracotta napkins and deep burnt orange roses. The natural farm tables looked amazing with the infamous crossback farmhouse chairs and shined under dreamy twinkle lights which dazzled above the reception tables.

Planning The Floral Design
Planning the floral design for Shea and Ross’ wedding was a breeze. They were very straightforward and we love that about them! Our lovebirds knew exactly what they wanted and exactly what they did NOT want. Wedding planning and designing can come with a lot of different opinions, but Shea and Ross agreed on basically everything! Their clear vision and strong decision making skills made our job soooo easy. No second guessing, just confidence in us and their wonderful planner/designer from Hawthorne and Poppy Events!
Shea wanted the wedding to feel natural but not wild and not stuffy or traditional. The color scheme was to dieeee for. As I mentioned, they brought in fall tones and added a touch of Texas. The vibrant yellows, oranges, pops of pink and vibrant reds paired with soft terracotta really came to life at Mercury Hall. The design was kept minimal – simple floral pops danced down the reception tables in between taper candles. I personally fell in LOVE with Shea’s bouquet. A bundle of vibrant warm florals leaned to one side while pure white flowers contrasted to the other. It was almost as bright as the smiles on Shea and Ross’ faces!

The Ceremony Florals
Shea and Ross’ ceremony was held outside in front of a large winding tree. We created two floral arrangements that sat on the ground to frame the ceremony site. The vision here was to create a ceremony piece that reflected the strength and stability of their friends and family. The yellow reflected the joy shared between everyone and we were so inspired by the idea of a blooming relationship to create a design that felt as though it were stable and grounded – just like Shea and Ross’ relationship with their loved ones!

We loveee how these colors turned out in the space! The vibrant yellows popped against the green backdrop and it made the ceremony feel extremely romantic and whimsical! Shea and Ross didn’t have a wedding party so their ceremony felt intimate; while all their friends and family were watching it was clear that they could only see each other in that moment. Shea and Ross adored spending quality time with their closest friends and family members, and this beautiful Texas wedding that reflected that!
Weddings like these make it easy to believe fairytales truly do exist. Based on the love that poured out from this day through hilarious speeches, fun dancing, and shared smiles it was clear that Shea and Ross’ fairytale was showing in real-time at Mercury Hall. The venue set a beautiful scene for Shea’s vision of a natural and whimsical space of love; dreamy shots of Shea and Ross under the towering trees and string lights had us pinching ourselves, they were in a real-life fairytale!
