March weddings are always one-of-a-kind. There is magic in the way the air lets go of the winter breeze and welcomes back the first signs of spring. Weddings are very fitting for this time of year, honoring the trend of new beginnings and love! This past March we had the pleasure of working with Kelli and Will as they celebrated their wedding at Cactus Moon in Dripping Springs, Texas. This is one of our FAVE spots in town for micro weddings!
Why do we love Cactus Moon so much?! Well for starters, it offers incredible views among its 20+ acres. This lodge has the most incredible ambiance and is influenced by a bit of Southwest, Texas, Portuguese, and Mexican style; everything about this beautiful Airbnb is joyful and effortless.

Cactus Moon is the ideal location for couples like Kelli and Will who wanted a beautiful, intimate wedding day where they could spend quality time with their favorite people AND get some incredible bridal shots. When Kelli reached out to us for a quote, we immediately fell in love with her style! The goal was to lean into Texas’s desert vibe and natural landscape by incorporating lots of texture and keeping the flowers relatively airy. Kelli wanted to steer clear of traditional florals like roses, and got us thinking outside the box! It was so much fun!
Neutral, Airy Florals With a Desert Flair
Kelli and Will’s wedding design was super refreshing for us. It was exciting to use flowers and greens that we don’t get the chance to play around with as often. For their wedding day, we used pampas grass, greenery, butterfly ranunculus, daffodils, sweet peas, and even some cacti! The majority of the fresh flowers were used in the reception design and bouquets, with a few dried ingredients sprinkled in. Altogether the design felt cohesive and gorgeous!

After arriving at Cactus Moon, we were excited and ready to get to work! Their ceremony took place outside in front of a gorgeous set of stone stairs surrounded by a natural arbor made of branches and vines. Using this arbor as our base, we started building an incredible design off of it. Adding together different textured grasses and greens had us working our creative brains to the best of our ability — and we LOVED the result! The pampas grass softened the entire look while the majority of the additional greenery we added created a unique texture and airy vibe. Overall the color scheme for this ceremony design was neutral in shades of beige and brown, but we did bring in just a quick pop of greenery with some foliage as well as a few adorable little cacti (arguably our favorite detail!!).

Dream Bridal Bouquet
Let’s talk about Kelli’s bouquet real quick… because, it was a dreaaaam bouquet!! Staying true to Kelli’s wedding floral vision, we kept the majority of the designs textural and airy by using dried flowers and greenery. But for Kelli’s bouquet, we knew it had to be something special. To give this bridal bouquet the airy look while incorporating some life and beauty into it, we pulled some of our favorite untraditional blooms: Butterfly Ranunculus, Sweet Peas, Daffodils, and a few dried floral pieces. It came together as an absolute chef’s kiss. I mean just look at how dreamy it is in these photos!
The Reception
Receptions at Cactus Moon are some of our favorites. Kelli and Will booked the Main Grand Lodge of Cactus Moon and held the reception on the pool deck. It’s a beautiful two-story outdoor space and the ambiance is unlike anything we’ve seen! This space is perfect for intimate dinner celebrations and is truly special. To bring their reception space to life we incorporated fresh florals into the table decor. The daffodils and ranunculus added a bit of color and life to this space and complimented the table decor so nicely!

Kelli had brought in some fun glassware that worked beautifully with the cement-style taper candle sticks and table numbers. There were so many different textures and shapes included in this table, which brought together a really fun look. Our favorite thing about the reception design was that each table’s floral arrangement was a bit different — this was SO fun for us! We experimented with some structural ikebana-inspired designs using floral frogs, and different dimensions for rounded centerpieces. Of course, we also added a long and full centerpiece for Kelli and Will’s sweetheart table!
This wedding was a true gem and we had the best time working with Kelli to bring her vision to life. Couples who challenge us to try something new are always a ton of fun, and we are so thankful Kelli had a clear vision in mind. It may be fall now, but we’ll be loving on this spring wedding at Cactus Moon for a long time!
