Jill and Richard’s wedding at Mae’s Ridge had ALL the good vibes radiating through it. We joined Jill and Richard at one of our top favorite venues for their vibrant and joyful wedding day. The mid-century essence of the venue was perfect for the couple’s style, it all came together beautifully!
Whenever our couples want to go all-out with their floral color palettes we have a blast. Using bright colors for weddings doesn’t happen every day so when the opportunity comes up we hop right on it! Jill and Richard went with an orange, pink, and peach color palette with touches of greenery mixed in for dimension. We’ll be dreaming about the marigolds, zinnias, and combo roses we used for ages, and we simply adore how soft the ranunculus and garden roses were in contrast.

Jill wanted her bridal bouquet to make a statement and together we dreamt up the perfect bouquet. Ombre-style arrangements have been a ton of fun for us and luckily, Jill was down for an ombre-styled bouquet! To get this effect we kept the orange tones from the marigolds and orange ranunculus together on one side, and slowly mixed in florals until we reached the fluffy pink garden roses on the other. Jill’s wedding dress was a simple lace A-line gown and worked well with the bouquet! We LOVE a massive bridal bouquet but also love when the it doesn’t distract from the dress. Her bridesmaids wore baby-pink silk dresses and held miniature bouquets featuring the same blooms as Jill’s. Richard and the guys spent the morning getting ready and into their light charcoal suits and baby-pink ties.
Now, before we dive into the goodness of their wedding at Mae’s Ridge we HAVE to share their love story with you because we are just so obsessed. Jill told us “we met at my best friend’s birthday party in 2018. My best friend and one of his best friends are also engaged!! They will be the maid of honor and best man in our wedding.” Seriously, how cute!
The ceremony took place overlooking the infamous Texas landscape at Mae’s Ridge. We dressed the frame arch up with a bright ombre-colored flower column to match Jill’s bridal bouquet. We kept the deeper colors toward the bottom of the column and allowed the color to climb up and slowly fade into a pastel pink. We topped off this rose and ranunculus installation with fluffy pampas, we just couldn’t help ourselves!

Inside the reception, we dressed up guest tables with bud vases filled with ranunculus, marigolds, zinnias, and more! The flowers looked absolutely adorable with the baby pink napkins and tall pink candlesticks. Jill and Richard had a special backdrop designed for their wedding day that featured full and half arches in varying shades of pink and orange as well as a custom neon sign with their last name! It was the perfect photo-op throughout the night. To add a little bit of spice to the display we designed a floral installation to sit at the foot of the arches.
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Jill and Richard opted for some delicious donuts and it was SO cute!! They mimicked the shape of a wedding cake through a donut tower and honestly, it was so much fun. Of course, we had to dress up this spot with flowers as well! Pampas, Ruscus, and vibrant blooms were overflowing, making this the sweetest spot to be.
Y’all, this group danced the night away! Everyone hit the dance floor and didn’t leave until the night was over. The energy that radiated throughout the room was infectious and kept us going all night long! We seriously had the best time designing Jill and Richards’s vibrant, mid-century modern-style wedding at Mae’s Ridge and we know you will love it just as much as we do!
