Give us a retro Palm Springs vibe in Texas any day, and especially for a shoot full of color! The Shootout Society invited us to Camino Real Ranch to create this design for a colorful wedding shoot along with our friends, XO Moreau Weddings. We went to work incorporating shades of pink, terracotta blooms and a hint of teal for an art-focused floral design that was bursting with life and personality, plus a little hint of retro!
We don’t often get to create with lots of color, so this was an exciting opportunity to design for fun!
Jumping in to something new is always intimidating but I was incredibly excited and proud of the result! Then leave it to the outdoor elements to throw a wrench at us, blowing over the ceremony design right before detail shots. But as we all know, sometimes plan B was meant to be! We had to quickly re-design a pillar giving it an asymmetrical feel and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
The colorful wedding flowers were right at home livening up the bright and light space at Camino Real Ranch.
For the reception tabletop, we hung a color blocked cloud of floral over a table covered with artistic textural blooms. We mixed dried and fresh stems for a saturated color flower runner that popped in the neutral space with stems standing tall to say hello. It was oh so happy and quirky, and we hope it will bring a big ol’ smile to your face and Pinterest boards!
