Elle and Zach, what a tremendously beautiful and kind couple! Flipping through these images I couldn’t help but smile. Their stunning wedding at The Arlo was so much FUN for our team as we were able to create some dream-worthy designs and bring this day to life alongside other incredible vendors. Elle and Zach were laid back and had a hands-off approach to their wedding planning process. We love the way they poured their trust into their vendors knowing their dream day would be executed perfectly. As creatives, this freedom is always exciting! But, if you’re one of our beautiful brides who wants to be all hands on deck we are sooooo totally here for it!! Every couple is different and we want the planning process to look how YOU want it to.
Planning The Details
These lovebirds planned their day with the lovely ladies at Simply XO Events , so we at Good Seed Floral had the pleasure of spending lots of time with them! Our two teams pulled Elle’s dream wedding flowers together and had the best time bringing her vision to life! The color scheme was neutral with soft touches of blush and nudes and of course some soft fluffy pampas. Our couple had a modern ethereal style and their wedding day reflected that. Held on a beautiful November day in Austin, Texas, Elle and Zach’s day could not have been more ideal. The morning was pretty chilly but boy did the sun come shining through! This wedding at The Arlo ended up on a crisp fall day and WOW it was gorgeous.
We loved the fact that they had chosen The Arlo as their wedding venue! It’s a new venue in town so we hadn’t spent a ton of time exploring the possibilities, but y’all there are MANY!! With a modern style, stunning golden hour spots and a back lawn featuring a grand fireplace backdrop, it’s perfect. In fact, Elle and Zach loved the dreamy fireplace and lawn so much that they selected it as their ceremony location! This just so happened to be my favorite part. We created a unique vignette for the two of them to be framed as they wed and it came out beautifully!
The Ceremony Floral Design
Let’s take a moment to zoom in on the ceremony design, shall we? Here we find an oak-stained wall just waiting to be decorated with floral. Among this gorgeous backdrop we built up Elle and Zach’s dream ceremony arch. Lush pampas plumes, pops of pinks, dried palms and fluffy white roses elevated the space. The placement of the floral installations is what made this arch iconic! Our couple was looking for something unique, different, and artistic… we think we nailed it!! We built up a half moon shaped installation on the right hand side and had it complimented by two asymmetric sprays on the left. On either side of the arch sat two cohesive floral columns that accented their bridal party and acted as a bookend to the short but sweet installations at the start of the aisle. All together this ceremony set up was an absolute vision. But when the golden light hit it… I think I lost my breath because it was G O R G E O U S.
The Dreamy Reception Space
While their ceremony was definitely my favorite part I think their reception space deserves second place. The way the natural lighting flowed into the space was delicious, like I wish I could bottle it up and open it anytime I needed a little glow! Elle and Zach kept their guests’ reception tables incredibly elegant and simple with an all white color scheme that was accented by terracotta and natural tones. The floral was minimally popped in with taper candles and overall the space was so sweet! However, the head table was where it was AT. I would like to eat at these tables forever and ever, please!
Elle and Zach had a sweetheart table for themselves. Artistic pampas and fresh floral arrangements towered over the head tables on chic gold columns, and we carried over the half-moon design from the ceremony to their sweetheart table. Our lovely couple was the center of attention the entire night, and for good reason! They looked so good!! Elle’s wedding dress looked incredible on her. Her off-the-shoulder gown featured a high slit that was playful and elegant. Zach stayed true to their soft-toned wedding vibe with a tan suit. The overall feel of their wedding day was so airy and they matched that vibe perfectly!
We were sooo happy with the way this wedding at The Arlo turned out, and seeing Elle and Zach break it down on the dance floor was so much fun. After a fun grand send off the night was over, but the next chapter of their love story had just begun!
