Moments from downtown Austin, Texas sits a brilliant venue, Barr Mansion. Decades of history and beautiful stories are tucked away beneath the towering lush trees. Barr Mansion is a hidden gem that spans acres of gorgeous Texas land and is home to a beautiful Victorian-style mansion! We adore venues with a rich history, knowing that many couples have shared their vows and made lifetime memories in these spaces. The moment we stepped foot in this modern-eclectic space we were in love, Elyssa and Eddie had chosen the perfect venue for their modern romantic baby’s breath wedding!
Wedding days are exciting, stressful, and filled with loads of emotions but Elyssa and Eddie seemed to take in every ounce of the day with ease. Their baby’s breath wedding vision was sparked by Elyssa’s picture-perfect idea of Barr Mansion delicately decorated in shades of cream, champagne, white and black. After planning the floral design with Elyssa, who knew exactly what she wanted, we were counting down the days until we could bring the vision to life. As florists, we couldn’t help but obsess over a few of the concepts we came up with but seeing them unfold in real life was AMAZING. It’s always rewarding when your vision plays out perfectly. For us, there were many stand-out floral pieces, but if we had to pick a top 3 they would definitely be the ceremony arch, Elyssa’s bridal bouquet, and the iconic disco ball baby’s breath installation!

“On Cloud 9” Inspired Florals
Elyssa and Eddie met at their MBA orientation and were obsessed with each other from the start. When together they feel as though they are on “cloud 9” so naturally we wanted to find a way to bring this feeling to life! We couldn’t think of a better space to do so than at their ceremony, where they were preparing to say I Do. Starting out with a standard arch shape we were so excited to start designing the ceremony backdrop. Baby’s breath set such a great base and gave us that fluffy cloud-like feeling. To add dimension we brought in a few of Elyssa’s favorite flowers: white roses and orchids, all together this arch was like heaven!
Modern All-White Bridal Bouquet
For our beautiful bride, we knew we had to design a breathtaking bouquet that met Elyssa’s dreams: an all-white bouquet with an elongated shape. We love how this bouquet turned out with its structural and artistic shape! To design this bouquet we added the orchids, which gave Elyssa the length she was looking for while roses, anthurium, and baby’s breath made the bouquet interesting to the eye.
Everything about this wedding day was thoroughly thought out and obviously that included their amazing photographer! Elyssa and Eddie brought in Wolfheart Weddings to capture the day and we are drooling over these images and the way they brought everything to life. Elyssa’s bridal portraits that were taken prior to the first look turned out BEAUTIFULLY, major shoutout to black and white shots that are just so stunning (stick around to the end to see!)

The Reception Design
After a heavenly ceremony, guests headed inside for a wonderful reception. Long farm tables were spread through the space and paired with some beautiful wooden chairs. Elyssa and Eddie kept their reception design relatively simple with bud vases that had single stems of ranunculus and roses mixed in with taper and hurricane candles. Their reception space was so romantic and airy! For their head table we incorporated some baby’s breath to tie together the design from their ceremony. Cohesiveness is our FAVE! The star of the reception design, however, was the baby’s breath disco ball installation. We LOVEE disco balls and this is a trend we are so totally here for. Guests were dancing under the installation all night, it was for sure the place to be.
Elyssa and Eddie shared dinner and toasts with friends and family before they all danced the night away. We were obsessed with every inch of their wedding day and loved these two so much! Their modern romantic baby’s breath wedding was iconic, trendsetting, and an absolute blast to be a part of.
