This week we are back at Mae’s Ridge, again! When I say this venue can do anything I seriously mean anything! I mean, the last two weddings we had here were both so different (and soooo gorgeous!) so it is no surprise that Virginia and Jake’s modern wedding flowers were unique and stylish in their own way!
First things first, can we talk about how impeccable Virginia and Jake’s style is?!
I mean WOW! They looked like absolute models. Virginia wore a gorgeous tiered wedding dress that was a beautiful and bright white. She had her dark hair slicked back in some rich Hollywood waves and the most precious pearl drop earrings. She kept her look very modern and natural and it all tied in so well with the design of her day! To make sure everything was cohesive she even had her bridesmaids wear white silk dresses in varying silhouettes as well – LOVE! Jake looked dapper in a charcoal twill suit, white shirt, and nude tie while his guys matched with the same suit and shirt, sporting black ties. This was one stylish crew!
We had so much fun working with Virginia and Jake on their wedding flowers, they were such a joy!
These two paid special attention to detail throughout the whole process, which was so inspiring. To go along with their style, Virginia and Jake kept a very chic neutral color palette. They had Mae’s Ridge as their background, meaning the opportunities were endless! Something I loved about the design for their modern wedding flowers is how many airy and modern elements they incorporated. To make sure everything was perfect, Virginia brought in Wild Heart Events to style and design her wedding and it 100% shows in photos! She absolutely nailed the modern, airy and unique vibe she was going for!
With her vision in mind, we knew that we were going to have fun creating her florals. With a combination of dried, fresh, and bleached floral and very minimal greenery, this wedding was so much fun to design. We had some beautiful fresh sandy and white roses, spray roses, ranunculus, and scabiosa that stole the show in her bouquet. The ceremony design was complemented by bleached hanging amaranthus and other fun dried florals. This ceremony and overall wedding vibe was so playful and dreamy!
Everything about their ceremony was pristine.
With playful aisle markers leading us to their gorgeous altar and wicker chairs that complimented their color palette perfectly, we were already off to a great start. In the center of all the beauty was the infamous gold frame altar that we transformed into an airy vignette of climbing roses and flowing amaranthus. This ceremony design was incredible!
To go along with the airy vibe Virginia and Jake wanted, we kept the stems on some of the roses long to give dimension and movement while some spray roses, orchids, and other bleached florals were flush with the altar. It was seriously a work of art! As if this ceremony wasn’t beautiful enough, the green of the trees perfectly matched the minimal greenery we placed throughout the altar; this added some dimension and depth. All of the natural beauty of Mae’s Ridge complimented their color palette perfectly, it felt like this venue was MADE for Virginia and Jake!
Virginia and Jake were the absolute kindest, most intentional clients and we are just over the moon with how their modern wedding flowers turned out!
