Who’s ready for some color? Lindsey and Nikhil are oh-so-vibrant. We brought in the bright reds, coral, orange, and hot pinks, and decked their wedding from start to finish. Designing this cultural wedding with Lindsey and Nikhil was insanely fun… maybe too much fun if that’s possible?! There were so many moving parts that could have made this day overwhelming and stressful but the energy was high and everyone was in the best mood! After one meeting with Lindsey and Nikhil, we knew they had a single request for us when it came to the floral – make it colorful and lush. No need to ask us twice! As we saw the colorful flowers merge together through the various designs it truly felt as though we were looking directly at the perfect Texas sunset.
Traditional Indian Wedding Ceremony
Something I adored about Lindsey and Nikhil’s cultural wedding was that it was broken into two parts. The first half of the day was to celebrate Nikhil’s culture and the second half for Lindsey’s. It was beautiful to see this couple honor each other’s backgrounds and really put the love and effort into making each moment special for them and their families. Lindsey and Nikhil held the first part of their ceremony under one gorgeous Mandap that our team dressed in loads of flowers. Lindsey and Nikhil, along with their wedding party, were dressed in traditional Indian wedding attire. The color, henna, jewelry, and dancing were so much fun to see! Their whole wedding party quite literally danced down South Congress – SO fun. Like I said, the energy was high! Everything about their wedding day felt grand and spectacular. The Mandap flowers were lush and colorful and designed to climb up each side creating one stunning and vibrant frame for the couple. After the service, they snapped a few bridal portrait shots before the outfit and floral change.
Traditional American Ceremony
To honor Lindsey’s culture they changed out of the traditional Indian attire into a more traditional American wedding outfit – Lindsey in a beautiful white gown and Nikhil in a sharp pin-striped suit. Their traditional ceremony took place on the stairs of the congress hotel where we designed two modern floral pieces for their arch. After the ceremony, it was time to celebrate!
In the grand hall of South Congress, we brought Lindsey and Nikhil reception to life alongside some other incredible vendors. We were OBSESSED with the hanging marigold installation that drew your eye into the center of the room. The vibrant pinks, reds, and oranges carried over into their reception in both dramatic centerpieces and installations as well as delicate pops throughout the space. We just gushed once we saw the space lit up! The coral taper candles glowed and the entire environment felt welcoming and warm in this modern and classy venue.
To see two incredible individuals like Lindsey and Nikhil share such a beautiful time together is heartwarming and reminds us why we are in this business! Being able to see two people love each other regardless of their background is what life is all about. It fills our hearts with so much love and we just can’t get enough! Lindsey and Nikhil’s wedding can only be properly described through these incredible photos. Enjoy their delightful and colorful cultural wedding day at the South Congress Hotel!
