Everything definitely is bigger in Texas, so when Emma and Ben were ready to go ALL out with their insanely fun color scheme we were ready to hop on board. Working with Emma and Ben was an absolute JOY! Seriously. We love all of our clients but when they have unique color schemes that allow us to expand our creativity we just have the best time. After postponing their wedding a couple of times (thank you 2020!), it was finally time for Emma and Ben to celebrate the big day. They worked with Bash Co Events, who is the queen of fun details! So, it is no surprise that all of the little details included in their wedding at Mercury Hall were absolutely spectacular!
Postponements are no fun, but they do allow for a little extra planning time. For Emma and Ben that additional time was well utilized! Their big day ended up being in July, which in Texas is HOT. But, they seriously lucked out because the heat could have been a lot more intense than it actually was. The hottest part of their wedding day was when everyone hit the dance floor!
Emma and Ben chose one of the coolest wedding venues we’ve seen in a long time, Mercury Hall in Austin, Texas.
Mercury Hall is an old church that was converted into a venue, so it had all the fun vintage touches. There were gorgeous stained glass windows that made the coolest altar setting. Emma and Ben knew they didn’t want to take away from the beauty of the stained glass for their ceremony decor, but they wanted something to pull together the space. So, we whipped up a beautiful moon-shaped floral installation on the floor of the old church that surrounded a beautiful rug for Emma and Ben to stand on. Overall the entire feel was a little bit vintage, a little bit boho, and a little bit modern… It was absolutely perfect for Emma and Ben! This venue was so unique and beautiful.

With a rich warm-toned color palette sporting colors like mustard yellow, burnt orange, and dusty rose, this wedding at Mercury Hall was absolutely radiant!
We went with a perfect pairing of fresh and dried florals and it was perfect! Emma’s girls were dressed in gowns varying in colors that matched their fresh floral, while Ben’s guys wore sleek tan suits that perfectly complemented the dried-beige tone of the pampas grass. They had a stunning combination of modern and bohemian touches throughout the entire design and everything just flowed seamlessly together!

The reception… y’all… WOW. They went with this delicious mustard-yellow table cloth and some gorgeous dusty-rose chairs that surrounded long community-style tables. Emma and Ben stood out with their beautiful peacock chairs and let me tell you, this reception was GORGEOUS! It was held out on the grass lawn of the venue and absolutely popped in the Texas sun. They decided to let the tables do the talking and keep the floral on the simpler side. We popped a few stems into vases and mixed in some cacti to give it a good Texas-feel!
Even though we probably say this about all of our bouquets, Emma’s was for sure one of our favorites. And we’re not kidding!! It was just drop-dead gorgeous. With an organic feel and lots of movement and texture, our bride’s bouquet was one for the books. The beachy tones met beautifully with the touches of yellow and dusty rose and all were tied together with a stunning champagne-silk ribbon.

Creating and coming up with each detail for Emma and Ben’s wedding took a lot of love and hard work but we cannot stop gushing over how it all turned out.
There were so many additional little touches we were able to get our hands on — such as the seating chart! They had this amazing modern seating chart with a neon sign, and their guest’s names and table numbers were on motel-style key rings. We dreamt up a luscious arrangement of fluffy pampas, bright mustard florals, and other fluffy flowers woven in. It was overall a beautiful installation!
It is always so much fun reliving these weddings through the photos, especially when they really depict the feel of the entire day. Emma and Ben’s wedding was a party for their friends, family, and themselves after many postponements. Everyone was just beyond thrilled to celebrate with them! Enjoy this sneak peek of their special day!
