One day we sat down, closed our eyes, and dreamed the perfect dream. Acres and acres of wildflowers, whimsical greenery, and the perfect breeze. We could see ourselves soaking in the sunbeams surrounded by this beauty. It was magical and we knew we had to find a way to bring this vision to life. The goal: a wildflower shoot with a floral design that is achievable, artistic, and unique! As a southern California wedding florist team, we LOVE coming up with new ideas and broadening our styles. So, we got to planning and within a couple of weeks we were in San Clemente, ready for the day to begin.
Inspiration For The Shoot
Isn’t it funny how the things you plan the least always end up being the best?! This shoot was just that – perfection! We collaborated with some amazing vendors and had the BEST time. This shoot was inspired of course by fields of wildflowers, whimsical and free, and the way they just brighten up the world. We wanted the colors of these flowers to pop so we chose Agape as our venue due to its pure white spaces, I think it was a success!
This of course was not our first time planning and executing a styled shoot but this one stood out from the rest. I feel like the whimsical, editorial vibe was KEY to spreading our wings and creating something unique. This shoot felt super retro and organic and it had us obsessssed! We typically stay true to our boho-modern-natural side of florals but it was so much fun getting to play around with a different style that most of our clients don’t typically go for!
Behind The Scenes
Agape is a brand new venue in San Clemente, CA. In fact, it has yet to officially open! They invited us to their space and we were so thankful to experience this space in all its beauty. Agape takes a ton of inspiration from the Southern California beaches but also really taps into Hispanic architecture. With gorgeous detailed tiles, beautiful high beams, tonnnsss of natural light and a stucco exterior with terracotta roof shingles this space is a dream.
Our model, Chloe, was a doll! She was the perfect fit for our wildflower vision. This laid-back and creative vibe matched her style perfectly. She sported a tan linen jumpsuit and her beach blonde hair was styled in natural waves. Everything felt like it fell into place perfectly! Plus, Chloe was down for all the poses. From close-ups hidden in mounds of wildflowers to moody shots in a chair, she was easygoing and looked beautiful!
I could dream about the sun pouring through the windows and highlighting the colorful wildflowers forever and ever, but, these photos may just have to do the trick. Creating florals like this is what continues to inspire us day after day. These natural beauties are some blooms we wouldn’t mind using all the time! Dancing delphinium, dreamy little daffodils, adorable sweet peas, carnations, and more just filled our wildflower dreams. We were in heaven and literally so so happy to be there. All our dreams were brought to life!!! Seriously, won’t be getting over this anytime soon.
